Word choice, the coupling of images, the metaphors and similes all outline an experience of love, of sexual expression, and of pleasure. “The fierce obsidian of the tongue in me” (4) “The rainforest disaster, nuclear threat in me” (4) I am the memory that circles your bednights, / that tugs you taut as moon tugs ocean” (5). And the styles of writing are always so interesting.Ĭisneros’ approach to writing about female love and sexuality is unlike any other I have read. They’re all so different, they focus on different themes, different types of love, different expressions of sex, etc. Books of poetry that tackle a woman’s sexuality and love life are some of my favorites to read. ![]()

The Edelweiss Pirates were very real groups of teenagers that formed across Nazi Germany in response to the indoctrination and strict regimentation of the Hitler Youth, a state-controlled program that required young people aged 14 and older to enroll. It is thought that the Nazis murdered as many as seventeen million innocent people. Millions of other people who Hitler didn't like were killed as well, including Polish people, Catholics, Serbs, homosexuals, and handicapped people. This included as many as one million Jewish children. The Nazis murdered six million Jewish people in concentration camps during the Holocaust. No doubt the German citizens were jealous. Many Jews were businesspeople and some were the best musicians and artists in the world. This hatred grew on what was called the Holocaust. People were looking for someone to blame, and Adolf Hitler was there to urge them on. They blamed them for everything-from the defeat of World War I to the Depression. The Nazis and Hitler spoke against Jews even before the start of World War II. It occurred during World War II when Adolf Hitler was leader of Germany. The Holocaust was one of the most terrible events in human history. ![]() ![]() ![]() Australia: How Do I Find Copyright Owners? Just as I thought that About Schmidt was more than its apparently depressing ending, so I think The Pursuit of Happyness is more than its inspirational ending.
